When Amanda from Anchors Aweigh Designs reached out to me, I knew this was going to be a great fit – no pun intended. I have admired her designs for a while now and in addition to being a fellow Navy wife, she is an incredibly strong woman who not only dreamed her dream, but made it happen. I absolutely love her story (you should read it here). Not only are her creations beautiful, even more important to me – they are meaningful. Truth be told, when I received my Freedom Isn’t Free Racerback in the mail, I let out an excited squeal (but it was more like EEEEEYAAAY)! I had been dying to wear it! So let me tell you all about it…

Freedom Isn't Free Tank
I always feel so free near the water!

First, I love what Amanda has done to the packaging. When you receive your order and lay eyes on the envelope, it just feels special! The small things really are the big things and this added touch makes a difference. Imagine sending this as a gift. The sticker will immediately make your gift recipient curious as to what’s inside!

What is inside??

So you open it up to see that Amanda has another added touch – her own Anchors Aweigh Designs tag. I love it. Again this speaks to the thought behind everything she does.  It takes extra time, sure, but it’s the added touches that set Anchors Aweigh Designs apart from other places from which I’ve ordered.

Love the tag and lettering on this top!

I got a size medium because I am busty and it fits great. The actual material is high-quality. The lettering is precise, well-centered and adorable. It makes me beyond happy that the racerback is the perfect length! I really don’t like shirts that don’t go beyond the belt-line. Not everyone wants to bare their midriff, you know what I mean. I have washed it three times already and the lettering is perfectly intact. I do hang it to air-dry as I do with most of my shirts. I love wearing it and displaying a small tribute to my dad’s and my husband’s service to our country.
