Commitment Issues, Road Trips and Urgent.ly

This post brought to you by Get Urgently. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Country Life City Wife.

I’ve always had “staying in one place” issues. I think it’s why I love road tripping so much. You can just get up and go. Oh how I love a good road trip. Get me in a car, gas it up, tell me to go and I am outta there. Plan, no plan – it’s all good. Just put me on the road and I’m a happy camper. Preparing for a road trip you want to make sure your vehicle is in tip-top shape. Of course, things happen. You forget to renew the auto club membership or you don’t want a membership because you have commitment issues, too and oopsie. You run out of gas. You get a flat tire. Or maybe you lock yourself out of the car trying to get the perfect shot of the world’s biggest rubber-band ball. Thanks to today’s sponsor, the Urgent.ly app, I’ve got you covered. urgent.ly app
A lot of us have used Uber. And a bunch of us at one time or another have had to call for a tow truck. Uber is fast and convenient. Payment info is stored, you know the pricing up front and you can track where in route your driver is. On the front end, you’re totally in the know. Tow trucks, now that’s a whole other ball of wax. Which company do you call? How long will it take them to show up? If they ever show up. And when they do it can take hours. The price you’re quoted? NOT the price you end up paying. It always ends up feeling like it cost a fortune. Enter the Urgent.ly app.

The Urgent.ly App

Here’s how it works: urgent.ly app How easy is that? Nothing required. No commitment. Life stays simple. Ahhhhhh…. So, is it legit? Check out just a fraction of their coverage in USA Today, The Washington Post and Wall Street Journal. With over 6,000,000 users and partners like AT&T and Mapquest, they’re doing something very right. I love that you can help family out and check on their status without paying extra membership fees, too. And they’re transparent, peeps. They list their prices right on the website. Side note because I just find this really cool; if you go to their website, each state has some fun facts listed. Did you know Arkansas has 52 State Parks? Now you do (I’m not talking to you Arkansans out there 😉 ).

With how cold it is lately, I know I’m personally dreaming of a road trip. In my mind I’m headed back home to the Florida Keys. Ahhhh. Where you are you headed? Unless of course, you live in the Florida Keys. Then you should stay put and know I’m super jealous. 😉 When it does come time, you can bet the hubs and I will be downloading Urgent.ly before we go.

Happy Trails, everyone!

I love road trips. I’d much rather drive than fly anywhere within reason. This is a great idea for an app. I love useful and practical apps that actually help people. Safe travels!

Wow this is awesome, we travel quite a bit. I need this app in my life. I love how easy it is to navigate. Especially all of the state info it offers!

What a great app!! Loving that loved ones can have access as well…how nice. My dad always “follows” our road trips (even though I’m nearly 40…ha!). He would love to keep tabs on us in this manner if we needed assistance or anything. Road trips are truly the most fun way to go…and having peace of mind on the way is even better! Thanks for sharing.

Wow! Over 6Million users and this is the first time I am hearing about it. Must be really helpful for the get up and go type of person then. Then again, took me years to actually decide to ge ton to facebook so, it might just be me. Maybe this app will be good for me. I plan on doign a lot more traveling this year.

So funny this post is here today. I have my stepmom out at our farm this week and her home health people are supposed to come out here. They keep putting the address in their GPS’s and get lost. I tell them that they should take my directions but they don’t Now I’m going to have to show them this app.

We find ourselves on the road a lot, whether it be for kids’ activities or travelling somewhere fun for a weekend getaway. This app would definitely help calm my mind as to what we would do if something were to happen with our vehicle. I’ve never heard of it before, but I’ll be downloading it and checking the service area.

This looks like an awesome and helpful app! I love roadtrippin’! I used to do it a lot before I had kids. Although, my favorite roadtrip ever, is when my husband and I drove with our 3 year old son from Minnesota to Florida in a Ford Mustang! It was amazing and I got to see the ocean, in person, for the first time in my life. I will never forget it!

I’m a huge fan of road trips. I’ve already been on two this year and it’s only January 20th! lol I’ve never heard of this app before. I can see how it would be helpful for people that have car issues while on the road. Definitely worth saving on my phone in case of an emergency.

This is very handy! I’ve had a few friends in the past get stuck, and it’s difficult to know what the best way to help them is. Urgent.ly may just be the solution! I’ll have to go check out the app now.

Thanks for sharing and great blog!

Sounds like a fantastic app to try out. We aren’t big road trippers but have been thinking about RV’ing at least once. Having an issue with a car i’m sure happens more often then not and this will come in handy.

We love RV’ing and can’t wait to go again! Definitely handy to have this app and what’s so nice is you can download it last minute if you need to!
