Branching out – Stages West & Durango Boots

Remember how big of a deal it was to me to get my first pair of flat boots? Well since then I admit I really haven’t ventured out again into flat boots territory. I don’t own many pairs of shoes that don’t have 4.5” (or higher) heels on them. I know, I know. Of course, living in the wooded Ozark Mountains of Arkansas that is just not practical. I’m not exactly sporting the stilettos to take walks on the back of our land, know what I mean? Not that I tried it once or anything 😉 , but I digress. If you didn’t catch my unboxing on Instagram stories, I mentioned how cute they are and that they fit perfectly. There’s always a concern ordering something online without trying it on first. No problems here. I’m a size 8 and these are a true size 8. The quality is superb and the color was right on as far as what was depicted online.

Now I wasn’t so sure how I’d feel about what I used to refer to as “cowboy boots”, but I love the versatility and the fact that they aren’t “flat-flat”. They’re comfortable enough to do a lot of walking in and A LOT more practical for going to the girls’ games, running out for a quick bite or to the grocery store. I am not sure why the girls would be embarrassed with me showing up in high-heeled boots, but I don’t think they were very keen on it. It only happened a few times ha! I kid, I kid. When summer time comes, I am thinking these could even go with some ripped up jean shorts and a casual tank or tee.
