Branching out – Stages West & Durango Boots
Remember how big of a deal it was to me to get my first pair of flat boots? Well since then I admit I really haven’t ventured out again into flat boots territory. I don’t own many pairs of shoes that don’t have 4.5” (or higher) heels on them. I know, I know. Of course, living in the wooded Ozark Mountains of Arkansas that is just not practical. I’m not exactly sporting the stilettos to take walks on the back of our land, know what I mean? Not that I tried it once or anything 😉 , but I digress. I had the opportunity to branch out a bit and I’m super excited to tell you about today’s sponsors, Stages West and Durango. We’re talking comfort and style so you and your feet are happy. You know I have your backs with a coupon code, too. As always, opinions are mine alone.
Since 1975 in the small town of Pigeon Forge, Stages West has been delivering quality western wear with some really great labels like Durango. With some awesome customer service to boot, (no pun intended) you can find some great gifts for yourself, your friends and the family this holiday season. When they told me to pick a pair of Durango boots for myself I had no idea where to start. I wasn’t sure I could pull off a western wear look, so I grabbed an expert: my sister. Of course, Stages West thought ahead for people like me-or just anyone who likes some guidance – and created a step-by-step Boot Finder:
You just answer a few easy questions and voila! You’re set with options. I wasn’t sure about versatility, but after conferring with my sister aka the expert, I came up with my requirements and gave it a shot with these adorable 10″ slouch boots by Durango. I think I made the right choice:
Do they work with jeans? (We all hang out on wood stacks, right? That’s what happens when your husband owns a tree service.)
Do they work with nude fishnets?
Do they work with leggings?
If you didn’t catch my unboxing on Instagram stories, I mentioned how cute they are and that they fit perfectly. There’s always a concern ordering something online without trying it on first. No problems here. I’m a size 8 and these are a true size 8. The quality is superb and the color was right on as far as what was depicted online.
Now I wasn’t so sure how I’d feel about what I used to refer to as “cowboy boots”, but I love the versatility and the fact that they aren’t “flat-flat”. They’re comfortable enough to do a lot of walking in and A LOT more practical for going to the girls’ games, running out for a quick bite or to the grocery store. I am not sure why the girls would be embarrassed with me showing up in high-heeled boots, but I don’t think they were very keen on it. It only happened a few times ha! I kid, I kid. When summer time comes, I am thinking these could even go with some ripped up jean shorts and a casual tank or tee.
The holidays are here…
so you want something unique for everyone on your list that they won’t just look at, use for a day and then put away for the rest of the year. Definitely check out Stages West for some options and grab the coupon code below.
