If you’ve been a reader for awhile, it’s no secret I’m a fan of Bru Joy’s kitchen tools. Their garlic press is the best I’ve ever owned, the cocktail muddler helps me make a mean mojito and they were featured in my 2014 Holiday Gift Guide.
When they asked me to test three more products AND give them away to one of my readers, I didn’t hesitate!
First up:
1) Bru Joy Can Opener
So what’s special about a can opener of all things? Well, you can just ask the hubs how terrible I am with a can opener. Seriously, it is a running joke around here! This one is easy to handle, so sturdy and the turning knob is large and opens a can in seconds. And no sharp/harsh edges either! Leaves the lid smooth so you don’t have to worry about scratches. I love it!

2) Bru Joy Pizza Cutter
Okay, confession: You know those $1.00 pizzas in the frozen aisle? Once in awhile I totally indulge. It’s a guilty pleasure. Don’t judge ;). I’ve used a few different types of pizza cutters and this one definitely takes the cake pie (pizza pie, get it?)! The handle is slip-resistant, you just apply a little pressure, roll the pizza cutter over your pizza and go. No having to go back and forth a bunch of times to actually create slices. It’s rust-proof, dishwasher safe (score!) and comes with a lifetime warranty.
You can get one for you and the pizza lovers in your life right here:
3) Bru Joy Milk Frother
Okay, I honestly thought a milk frother was something only baristas use. I don’t drink coffee and have never used one in my life, so I wasn’t so sure about this one. Since the hubs does drink coffee, I tested it to make him a Veranda brew. You do need to supply two AAA batteries before you use it. It says to use it for 15-20 seconds and it totally worked. You only have to press one button to turn it on instead of holding it down the entire time. It also comes with a mounting bracket (though we will keep ours with our kitchen tool caddie). It’s easy to clean, but don’t stick this one in the dishwasher given the batteries can corrode! Though I won’t necessarily use it for hot beverages very often, I could see also using this to make desserts and fun cocktails. Bottom line: Huge thumbs up for being so easy to use and actually doing what it says it will!
